CBSE CTET Notification
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2024, scheduled to be held on 7th July 2024. The exam will be conducted in twenty languages across 136 cities nationwide.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations.
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- Note: A Bridge Course in Elementary Education is mandatory within two years of appointment as a primary teacher for those with B.Ed qualifications.
For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE Regulations.
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
- OR Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
- OR Any candidate with a qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by NCTE is eligible.
Application Fee for CTET 2024:
- Paper I or II: General/OBC – Rs.1000/-, SC/ST/PWD – Rs.500/-
- Both Papers: General/OBC – Rs.1200/-, SC/ST/PWD – Rs.600/-

- Visit the official portal of CBSE CTET and navigate to the “Important Web-Links” section.
- Click on the “Online Application Form” link to open a new webpage.
- Enter personal and educational details as required.
- Upload passport-sized photograph, signature, and other necessary documents.
- Pay the examination fee based on your category.
- Submit the application and retain a printed copy for future reference.
